Waitin on the Alaskan Ferry !!!!

UUGGGGHHHH!!!! We r waiting. For 2.5 hours now we have been sitting in the car waiting to drive our car onto the ferry. The Alaska Marine Highway. Its suppose to be like a cruise ship but with not-so-exstavagant entertainment. Our tickets were exspensive. $353 for Wes, $353 for me, our car $949, $176 for Emari & $0 for Zoey with a grand total of $2,366. Thank goodness we have military assistance for travel. The traving experience to get here @ the Bellingham Cruise Terminal was extremely beautiful. We will have been thru 9 states & 2 countries when we arrive in Anchorage, Alaska. The plaines of the panhandle of Texas & northwest corner of New Mexico were just as beautiful as the mountains when u could see for miles & miles. It seems that the mountains started in New Mexico & followed us all the way to Washington. So a recap of all of the states we drove thru... Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, Idaho, Oregon, & Washington. Well, there's finally some action going on on the ferry, maybe that means we are about to load our car. Seeing how that it's suppose to leave port @ 6 pm & its 5:25 pm!!! Let's go already!!!

Day1 is done

We hav come to the end of our first day of adventure. God truely blessed us today with safe travels & no major emotional melt-downs. And if you know Zoey, you won't be suprised to hear that she asked if we were there yet @ least once an hour but most often 4-5 x's/hr. I always thought it was always kinda a joke, but my lil spaz child proved me different. But for being in the car traveling for 10.5 hrs in a confined space for someone who isnt even still or quiet when she sleeps, she did excellent. But once she was able to unwind out of her car seat it was like a really tightly stretched rubber band being released..... Ping-ping-ping .... Off the walls.
I am lookin forward to seeing what God has instore for us tomoro.

Last day Home

As I sit here on our last day home, before our first great Parker adventure, i am sad to be leaving but God has also granted me (at least) peace about going so far awAy from home. I've only ever lived within a 40 mile vacinity from my mama & daddy.
But I think God has been preparing me for this, givin me a great group of christian friends @ a Bible study to encourage me in my walk with the Lord & strengthing my heart, faith, & courage so that I can handle the trails that are no doubt in my path.
I am trully thankful for technology. It will allow us to visit & see our family & friends more often than we would have without it. It will let me not miss quite so much of my neice's growing up.
My girls have been so loved the last 6 years by our friends & family. Thank you very much to all of those who have touched our lives with your love. We will miss you. I pray that god blesses you while we are out of sight but not out of mind (I hope).
