wish me luck............

Well, wish me luck, or just send up a prayer. Wes and I are about to take two never-still, very active toddlers on an airplane to North Carolina to see Wes' family before he leaves in December. I'm a bit nervous about my girls coping with being confined to a seat for hours at a time. I've stopped taking them to church with me because they can't sit still or be quiet. At least there I can take them out of the building if I need to, on the airplane,.....oh wow, I just hope it goes well. I'm taking food, and books, and a dvd player with their favorite movies so maybe they will be the sweet angels that I'm sure are in there somewhere.

P.S. If I don't post anything for a while its because I'm not near a computer. But I promise as soon as I get back, I'll share our events and pictures with you.

Oh yeah, and I'm soooooo excited to have a new place to take pictures.

My heart aches for you my friend.....

Well, my heart is absolutely broken for my friend. I wrote about her and her difficulty with getting pregnant and having a baby once before. About two weeks ago she had some of her eggs fertilized and implanted and today was the day she was suppose to find out that she was pregnant and gonna be a mom. And I prayed, very very diligently for it to be God's will that it work and she has a healthy pregnancy. But that doesn't seem to be in the plans He has for her. My friend is such an amazing person with a generous heart with so much love to share. I think it seems only fair that God grant her her hearts desire to share that love with a child of her own. The main question that comes to my mind and I'm sure hers as well is..... why? Why didn't it work, why does she have to suffer so much? I know all the "biblical" answers to these questions but that doesn't make our hearts hurt any less with the disappointment that dreams have failed to come to reality once again. My heart is hurting. And if I'm hurting for my friend, her pain must be so much stronger. I wish that I could take some of her pain away and make it easier to deal with. I wish that the God I trust, would send some comfort her way and a little understanding as to why her situation is less than desirable.
To my friend, if you read this,...... I love you and believe that the God of the universe, the One who created life out of nothing, the One who gives and takes away, the One who knows the deep longings of our hearts will not fail you. And I believe that He doesn't give us things we can't handle, and that His plans for us are greater than the ones we have for ourselves. He will bless you, beyond your wildest dreams in His time. And I, as you know, know the loss of the dream of being a mom. Its very difficult to bear, so don't bear it alone. I am here, as I always have been. Lean on those who love you and on God, because He does love you, even though it may seem hard to feel right now. I love you my sister. You are very special and have so much to give. Don't give up. Great things are around the corner. Someone once told me that sometimes God takes important things away from our grasps so that He can prepare us to hold something even more special and precious. Greater things are to come......

Kids say the darndest things.....

I've learned that whatever goes out of your mouth (good or bad) lands directly in the ears of your toddlers. One day me and the girls were playing around on our couch and Emari puts her hands on either side of my face looks me in the eyes and says in her cute little voice "I'm so proud of you." I know I've said it to her before but I didn't realize she was actually listening. I'm not sure how much she actually knows about what it means but I think she knows that its a good feeling about someone else............Then the other day I sneezed pretty loudly, as usual, and my little angel Zoey says..."Bless you" plain as day. Its something I say out of habit mostly to them when they sneeze but I didn't think that she would pick up on it so quickly.........And well today, Emari was in her room watching "The Incredibles" (its a cartoon type movies for kids for those of you who don't have them) and I can hear from the other room one of the characters yelling "Honey where's my super-suit?"......Then I hear Emi yelling "Mama, where's my super-suit?" I just had to laugh......Oh man, what have I gotten myself into? They are little sponges, absorbing everything.....everything from Spanish words on Dora to not-so-nice words blurted out in front of them. I'm terrified and awed that I have such an influence on the hearts and minds of my children. I've never felt so loved and so much pressure to do the right thing, say the right thing, or even be the right thing. Their spirits are so fragile and so easily molded. I pray that I do what is needed to grow them into strong, confident, and loving people.......and learn to watch what I say to and in front of them........
